Neurodiversity Resources

We're committed to providing a safe, welcoming, respectful and rigorous learning environment for every member of the school community - including our neurodivergent students. Our commitment aligns with California Senate Bill 939.

Who are neurodivergent people?

A neurodivergent person's brain functions, learns, and interacts with the world differently. Common examples are Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia. Nationally, bullying is up to 4 times more likely to affect students with neurodivergence.

What is SB 939?

Education Code already addresses bullying and harassment. SB 939 adds supports specifically for neurodivergent students. The University of California and California State University Collaborative for Neurodiversity and Learning offers many helpful resources, and SB 939 calls for sharing those resources with you.
