Rules & Expectations » Textbooks

Textbooks are furnished to the student for use in the classroom without charge. All books must remain in the classroom unless the teacher has given written permission for the student to take the textbook home to complete an assignment. The student is responsible for the proper care of the books and for their return at the end of the term of assignment to Bayside Community Day School or when leaving school. When books are lost or not returned, students are liable for the costs. Transcripts and diplomas will be withheld until all assessed fines are paid.

Students shall be charged appropriate amounts when school books, equipment and property are damaged or lost. Charges will be made by school personnel, discussed with the student, and filed with the school secretary. Delinquent accounts are accumulated on the student’s bill. Report cards or transcripts will not be issued if fees exist. The registration process will be delayed if fees exist. All school fees must be paid with cash, money orders or cashier’s checks. The school will no longer accept personal checks. Students will not graduate until all fees have been paid.
